Allison Cara Tolman has been an actor for more than twenty years. Best known as Molly Solverson from the FX TV show Fargo in its first season, she has received nominations for Emmys & Golden Globes. Tolman had three older siblings and one younger. Early in her life, the family of Tolman moved to England. They stayed there until she was four years old. She lived for the next five years in Oklahoma as well as West Texas, before moving to Sugar Land, Texas. As a ten-year-old she was able to begin acting at Fort Bend Community Theatre. Clements High School graduated her in the year 2000. Baylor University gave her a diploma in The Bachelor of Fine Arts, Theatre Performance. In the years following her graduation, she lived in Dallas and became a founder of Second Thought Theatre. The actress made the move to Chicago in 2009 to study at The Second City Training Center for a course in acting. Tolman gained fame in 2014, when Tolman made an appearance on the FX show Fargo. The show was inspired by The 1996 Coen brothers' film with similar title, Fargo starred veteran actors Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman as well as Bob Odenkirk. Tolman received praise for her performance as Minnesota the policeman Molly Solverson. Vanity Fair stated that Tolman, "calmly" and "assuredly", stole the show.
